From the very first year of inception the Department has admitted qualified students to undertake research in the various areas of law. The Department has a high research profile with significant works done in Election laws, Judicial Process, Human Rights, Health Care Law, Women and Law. The Department promotes full time and part time research. Till this date about 78 were admitted as full time and part time research scholars under the supervision of eminent law teachers and out of this 38 were awarded Ph.D. and one submission for valuation.
Department started offering M.Phil in Human RIght Law from 2015 onwards. It also has a valuable collection of about 520 dissertations and 7 M. Phil Dissertations on various topics submitted by the students of LL.M and MPhil Scholars respectively as a part of their curricula. We also have 1 Post Doctoral Fellow.
